Memorial Day weekend is an important time of remembrance and honor, but it is also the official kick-off to summer.  While large-scale public events will not be happening around the Tampa Bay area this year due to continued social distancing, Floridians can still celebrate the new season at home in our own back yards with wholesome foods, cookouts, and fun outdoor activities.

Get to Grilling for Better Health


Many people forget that grilling can be one of the healthiest ways to cook.  The art of grilling can add ample flavor without the addition of extra calories. Here are cookout tips from the Florida-based experts at Weight Success Centers in Tampa:

  • FIREY FRUITS AND VEGGIES: Basic fruits and vegetables transform into incredibly flavorful delights when grilled. Consider grilling savory asparagus spears, seasoned potato slices, or perhaps a medley of summer squashes.
